Throughout this site and others, there are often references to 'D8 or D9'. Many ask what does this mean? And what is the difference? Though both versions appear almost identical, there are subtle differences. D9 has many revisions from the original D8, these include revised engines, electrical systems and dashboard controls. The easiest differences to spot between D8 and D9 are on the dashboard such as radio and heater/air con controls, but as these can vary between specification, the most reliable method of identification is to note the hazard warning light switch position, which is different between versions, see the pictures below for a quick guide.
